Shri Kashi Vishwanath Temple, located in the ancient city of Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh, is one of the most revered temples dedicated to Lord Shiva. Known as the “Golden Temple of Kashi,” it is among the twelve sacred Jyotirlingas and attracts millions of devotees and pilgrims from across the world every year.

श्री काशी विश्वनाथ मंदिर उत्तर प्रदेश के प्राचीन शहर वाराणसी में स्थित भगवान शिव को समर्पित सबसे पूजनीय मंदिरों में से एक है। इसे “काशी का स्वर्ण मंदिर” भी कहा जाता है और यह बारह पवित्र ज्योतिर्लिंगों में शामिल है। हर वर्ष देश-विदेश से लाखों श्रद्धालु और तीर्थयात्री यहां दर्शन के लिए आते हैं।
पवित्र गंगा नदी के तट पर स्थित यह मंदिर हिंदू धर्म में अत्यंत महत्वपूर्ण स्थान रखता है। मान्यता है कि काशी विश्वनाथ के दर्शन और गंगा स्नान से भक्तों को मोक्ष तथा मानसिक शांति की प्राप्ति होती है। वर्तमान मंदिर का पुनर्निर्माण वर्ष 1780 में महारानी अहिल्याबाई होल्कर द्वारा कराया गया था, जबकि इसके स्वर्णमंडित शिखर का दान बाद में महाराजा रणजीत सिंह ने किया था।
नव विकसित काशी विश्वनाथ कॉरिडोर ने तीर्थयात्रियों के लिए गंगा घाटों से मंदिर परिसर तक सीधी पहुंच उपलब्ध कराकर यात्रा को और अधिक सुविधाजनक बना दिया है। प्रतिदिन होने वाली पूजा-अर्चना, आरती तथा महाशिवरात्रि और देव दीपावली जैसे पर्व इस मंदिर को आस्था और भक्ति का जीवंत केंद्र बनाते हैं।
